City Team Meetings
Pray for the Sarajevo City Team annual planning meetings February 7-11. Ask God to give the team fruitful discussion and vision for the ministry of discipleship and house church development. Pray that it will be an opportunity to discern and trust God’s leading so the team will effectively develop, empower and release nationals in their ministries.

Thank you for praying! Four of the team arrived from the U.S. in the last 48 hrs. The team pushed through the jet lag!
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon (Monday) we gathered and considered the impact of living a life fully yielded to Christ from Mark 10:17-27; and we rewrote the RG Sandbox in "sandbox" words that a six year old could understand, i.e. Healthy Team - "We don't throw sand at each other."
Great dialog late in the day concerning an important ministry decision that could cost the loss of $750/month of ministry assistant for one of the staff as a result of remaining focused on ministry in Sarajevo.
Tomorrow we focus on a situation analysis and developing a vision statement for the next years of ministry. Thanks for praying! Watch for updates the rest of the week. John in Sarajevo!
Thank you for praying. The morning was spent in worship and prayer concerning transitions, a review of the past year, celebrations of God at work, struggles, disappointments, strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats; conversations that needed to happen...a draft vision statement is in process.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow we meet as a RG team to dialog about the future and transitions that we will face together. The afternoon will be pressing into goals and objectives for 3-5 years and 1-3 years.
Thank you for praying for stamina and wisdom that comes from listening to God and each other.

Mission: "We exist to glorify God by establishing multiplying communities of believers in BiH."
ReplyDeleteVision: "Our five-year vision is the establishment of an expanding network of seven or more new healthy churches in Sarajevo and beyond."
Thank you for praying as we press into and seek God's leading and priority for 3-5 year, 1-3 year, and 1 year goals.

We saw a significant answer to prayer as we prioritized and together made hard decisions about remaining focused in Sarajevo. God has answered with ministry opportunity that exceed what we might have hoped for as a team. John in Sarajevo
ReplyDeleteThank you for praying! We concluded this time together with a review of the past year and the work; including significant discussion on what changes were needed in the new year to be yielded to the Lord and effective in ministry together. We closed with a challenge from I Thessalonians 5 to guard our hearts and minds and press into what God is doing here. Work remains to align with priorities of the vision and remaining sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading as ministry continues. Thank you for praying. John in Sarajevo.
