Ministry retreat in Sarajevo

Pray for Larry and Jill, ReachGlobal personnel in Sarajevo, as they plan and prepare the logistical details for the second annual network camp/retreat to be held near Sarajevo the second week of June. Pray that this relationship development and teaching time will bring glory to God. Ask the Lord to bless them with good weather for this outdoor event.

Ministry in Berlin

Pray for the ReachGlobal Europe leadership team as they meet to determine the key roles they will play in ReachGlobal ministry in Berlin. Ask God to bless this time of bringing extra resource and attention to a key city ministry in Europe that the team believes will result in helping all of the ReachGlobal ministries in Europe. Pray for grace and wisdom.

Kingdom Expansion 101 course

Pray for the participants taking the online course Kingdom Expansion 101 that begins May 30 for the next six weeks. Pray for wisdom and clear teaching for Linda, EFCA EQUIP, as she facilitates the course. Ask God to encourage and challenge each participant in outreach, both locally and around the world.

Short-term teams in Congo

Over the course of the next month, there will be numerous short-term teams traveling to Congo focusing on the medical work, GlobalFingerprints and other key partnerships. Pray for the Congolese host team as they care for the people on these teams doing ministry.

Elikya Center in Congo

Pray for ReachGlobal personnel, Sam, Sarah, Aaron, and Michelle as they complete their responsibilities at the Elikya Center in Congo. Pray that the training of the hospitality team who will host short-term teams coming to the Center will go well and that the team will be well-equipped to handle every aspect of the job.

Personnel team planning retreat

Pray for the Personnel team retreat May 24-25 in the Twin Cities area. The leaders of EQUIP, ENHANCE, ENGAGE, and Transitions are meeting together for updating and planning. Pray that the Lord will give them guidance in the areas where they can most effectively provide encouragement and equip ReachGlobal missionaries for healthy ministries.

Connect through English

Pray for Mark and Athlee, ReachGlobal personnel in Japan, and for the staff as they relate to all the people who come through Café COEN (connect through English) doors during the week. Many of them come with needs or are just lonely. Pray that God will help the staff to share His love with them in the best way possible.

Debriefing Event for RG Personnel

Pray that the group of 31 ReachGlobal U.S. based staff attending Debriefing May 22-23, at the national office will be encouraged and challenged in their ministries. Pray for wisdom for Lois, director of the ENHANCE team, as she and leadership staff from the ENHANCE, Personnel, ENGAGE, and EQUIP teams listen, minister, and provide resources to all the participants.

TREK7 to India

Today and tomorrow the team participating in TREK7, an intensive summer outreach program designed to mobilize students for ministry to some of the most remote and unreached people groups in the world, is in training for ministry in India for five weeks this summer. Pray for Dave, ReachGlobal Director of Recruitment, who is training and leading this team of seven college students. Pray for God’s blessing on their training and ministry with Mukti Project and GlobalFingerprints.

European Leadership Forum in Budapest

Pray for sharpening conversations and learning experiences at the European Leadership Forum in Budapest May 18-24. Pray for God’s Spirit to lead Ritch, Mike, and Jay, ReachGlobal Europe area personnel, as they seek His leading for developing European church planters.

GlobalFingerprints

Pray for God’s blessing on GlobalFingerprints U.S. staff Karen, Ben, and Rachel who are in Congo May 17 to June 5. Pray for the meetings with the Congolese staff and as they capture stories, pictures, and video to share the significant difference GlobalFingerprints child sponsorships are making in the life of each orphan.

Weekend of fellowship and Bible study

Pray for the Toulouse City Team taking a group of people to Biarritz, a seaside town in France, for a time of fellowship and Bible study May 17-20. Pray for this group (Christians and non-Christians) who are attending the retreat that the team may have the opportunity to deepen relationships with them and bring them closer to understanding the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus.

Candidates preparing for ministry

Pray for the process of four candidate couples raising support and preparing to go to the Middle East/North Africa. Ask God for their vision to grow as they see Him provide all their needs from day to day as well as the future.

EQUIP team planning retreat

Pray for the EFCA EQUIP team meeting in Wisconsin May 14-18, for its working/team-building retreat. Ask the Lord to bless and encourage them in their prayer time, team dynamics, and ministry focus. Pray for God’s clear leading for the team and physical health and strength for a productive week of planning.

PBI recruiting event

Pray for Open House Day, a public relations and recruiting event, at the Portugal Bible Institute on May 12. Gary and Terri, ReachGlobal personnel in Lisbon, are encouraging recent graduates and current students to invite young people from their churches. Pray for a good number of young people and especially for potential students with whom they can follow-up.

Teaching English in Tanzania

Pray for Bill and Marilyn, short-term workers who are teaching English and assisting Steve and Carol, ReachGlobal personnel, with their ministry in Tanzania for six weeks. Pray that God will give them health, energy, and joy in their work.

Teaching missions course

Pray for Mark and Jan as they teach a missions course at NorthCreek Church in California today. They will be presenting strategies for reaching people for Christ in creative access countries. Pray that those attending will be challenged and encouraged.

SERVEurope Planning Meetings

Pray for wisdom and the leading of the Spirit for the ReachGlobal SERVEurope team in Budapest, Hungary during their planning meetings May 7-11.  Pray for a God-centered time of focus and direction as this service-oriented team maps out goals for the next three years so they can better serve ReachGlobal personnel in Europe.

New church plant initiative in Belgium

Pray for the new church plant initiative “CityLifeLeuven” in Belgium preparing to host two events designed for and by students, including the students from Evangelical Faculty of Theology. The first event on May 8 covers the topic of Finding Peace in the Midst of Pain and Suffering. The second event, Don’t Waste Your Life, is on May 22. Speaking engagements in Portugal

Pray for wisdom and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as Gary, ReachGlobal personnel in Portugal, prepares and delivers two messages at two local churches on May 6 and on May 20. Pray that he will encourage and speak with clarity as he ministers to the people in these congregations.

National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance for people of all faiths designated by the United States Congress. May we humbly come before God today, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people. Pray that our prayers today open doors for the Holy Spirit to spread the good news of the gospel. Pray that the ReachGlobal mission to glorify God by multiplying healthy churches among all people would be at the forefront of our global ministry. Pray that God would give us favor as we develop, empower, and release ReachGlobal personnel and national partners to impact 100 million people with the gospel over the next decade.

Men's ministry in Bulgaria

Pray for Dave’s ministry to a group of men in Bulgaria where Dave and Sasha serve. Pray that they would continue to open up to Dave and sincere friendships would develop. Pray also for opportunities to share the gospel and discuss spiritual issues. Dave and Sasha’s landlord is selling the house they rent so ask God to direct them to a new home before the end of May that is affordable and in a good location.

Professors receive training

Pray for Enrique, ReachGlobal personnel with ProMETA, along with another professor who are training 20 seminary professors in Cuba April 28-May 7. These professors, who also work as pastors in local congregations, come to Havana from different parts of the country. Pray for wisdom and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit so that the teaching is relevant and strategic for these brothers.
