LATN Graduation

The Latin America Training Network (LATN) will have its first graduation on April 30, an historic event! Pray for the six students, located in Venezuela and Costa Rica, who will be honored virtually. While the graduates who live in Costa Rica receive their diploma, the students in Venezuela will receive theirs in person from a Christian leader in that country. This class is the first of what LATN anticipates to be many graduations. Pray that the technology will work well for the broadcast.

Praise God for His grace, provision, and faithfulness. LATN staff are grateful to the many people who committed to pray, give encouragement and financial support in order to strengthen the Spanish-speaking leaders of God’s Church using LATN as a tool to equip these leaders.

Advocates for Europe

Pray for Rich and Joyce who serve as Advocates for Europe with the CONNECT division of ReachGlobal. In their advocacy role, they help connect U.S. churches to cross-cultural ministry as ambassadors and mobilizers, consultants and trainers, and initiators. As catalysts for missions, they help open doors of opportunity for believers of all ages, to be released for Gods service in multiplying healthy churches among all peoples. Ask the Lord to bless them with strength and grace as they help establish long-term relationships between U.S. churches and Europe city teams through partnerships.

Europe North Team Meetings

Pray for ReachGlobal personnel, who serve in northern Europe, meeting April 27-May 1. Pray that God will make this a time of growth and development for the city team leaders and team members from Prague, Budapest and Sarajevo. Pray for God’s protection in travel and good physical health.  Ask the Lord to grant them unity, strategic thinking, ministry effectiveness, and a clear understanding of the role God wants for each of them.

Chapel service at university

Pray for Bob, ReachGlobal personnel in Japan, as he speaks in the chapel service April 27, at a local university. This university was started by missionaries and still has some Christian influence. Pray that Bob will be able to convey a clear message of the gospel as he speaks on Who is Jesus? Pray that by His Spirit the hearts of the students, who know little about Jesus, will be opened to seek Him.

Team meetings in Romania

Pray for the team meetings Doug and Jennifer, ReachGlobal personnel in Romania, are having April 26-28, with Don, their area leader and Richard, their city team leader. Pray for wisdom, insight and unity as they listen to one another and strategize together how to more effectively equip, empower and release healthy workers and multiply healthy churches in Craiova.

Gospel-centered movements in Africa

Pray for the Africa Leadership Team as Kevin, ReachGlobal Africa International leader, leads the team forward in the vision of seeing gospel-centered movements launched in and from Africa that transform lives, communities and institutions by the power of God’s Spirit. Ask God to give wisdom and guidance to the Africa Leadership Team as they meet for evaluation and planning toward this goal. Pray for safety and health in all the travel that Kevin will have this year as well as for God to open new doors for ministry partnerships in Africa.

Youth gather in Brazil

Pray for Steve and Liz, ReachGlobal personnel in Brazil, as they gather with more than 400 Brazilian youth from the EFC churches in Brazil April 20-23. Pray for God's Spirit and Word to move powerfully among them. Pray for open hearts and life-long positive results.

Chapel at BCA

Pray for Dave, ReachGlobal personnel in Romania, as he speaks from Isaiah 53 in chapel tomorrow to the students and faculty at Bucharest Christian Academy. Pray that through this passage God would give the student body a glimpse and understanding of the amazing depths of Jesus’ sacrifice and celebrate His Resurrection victory to the fullest during this Holy Week.

Teacher Training in Tanzania

Pray for Steve, Carol and Betty, ReachGlobal personnel in Tanzania, who are teaching English, Community Health Education (CHE), and religion at a private teacher training college. Their goal is to find a team of students who desire to be trained in evangelism, discipleship and in CHE so that when the students go to the village to teach in the primary schools, they can have a ministry among the people, possibly an unreached people group, and begin a church. Pray that God would bring together a team of 10 to 12 committed Christian students who want  to learn how they can have an impact for Christ in the community where they will teach. Ask God to give Steve, Carol and Betty wisdom in teaching English so that the students may be encouraged with their progress. 

Camp in the Philippines

Pray for the Lotte Youth Camp April 18-20 in the Philippines. Vance and Carol, ReachGlobal personnel, and four adult helpers are taking 15 young people from the Sunday school and Study Center to a retreat center in the mountains. These youth live in very poor situations and being able to go to this camp is something they have been anticipating for months. Praise God that He has provided the money through generous people. Please pray that the campers will encounter God through the study of the book of Philippians and other activities during these three days. Ask the Lord for His protection, good health and that this will be a blessed experience for each one.

Ministry in Honduras

Pray for God’s blessing on Roberto, Robin and their family, ReachGlobal personnel serving in Honduras. They are seeing many ministries making a difference because the people want to help others. Roberto and Robin have opportunities to work with the church to reach their communities with the gospel through projects to the poor and jobless. Pray for God’s protection on His people and hope for those living in poverty and oppression in Honduras.

National Mission Movements

Pray for ReachGlobal Europe leaders, James and David, who are in Kiev, Ukraine April 14-17, connecting with people from different denominations to learn about the mission-sending efforts in Ukraine. Their efforts will be coordinated with the European Evangelical Alliance, the group that has commissioned David and James to work toward developing National Mission Movements in five countries of central and eastern Europe.

English Class Outreach in Czech

Pray for ReachGlobal personnel in the Czech Republic who teach English classes, that are part of the new church plant in Milovice, held Thursday mornings for moms with young children. Pray for consistent, committed childcare workers with a love for God who will serve the Lord in this ministry. Ask God to bless and encourage the young Czech family who moved to Milovice to help start the church in this community.

Ministry in New Orleans

Pray for Lois and David, ReachGlobal personnel with ENHANCE, who are in New Orleans this week to meet with the EFCA TouchGlobal Crisis Response team. This team oversees the EFCA response to crisis events in places like Haiti, Peru, Japan, and New Orleans. Pray for God’s blessing on Lois and David as they lead in team building and in discussions of the team member’s encouragements and challenges. Ask God to give them strength and good health as they join a work team and meet with individual staff members. Pray that God arranges the schedule in the way that would make this an effective week of ministry and bring Him glory.

OEC in Austria

Pray for Duane, Penny, Scott, Janice, Phil and Cindy, ReachGlobal personnel in Belgium, conducting an Outreach English Camp April 11-19, in Austria for 51 campers. Ask God to also bless the OEC ministry team from Grace EFC in Walworth, WI, who received their training and curriculum from ReachGlobal CONNECT and EQUIP personnel, Gary and Marilyn. Pray for safety in all their travels and activities. Pray for unity, many opportunities to share the gospel, and be examples of His love. Also pray for the health, stamina and protection for the cooks serving at the camp.

Women's Conference in Venezuela

Pray for Rebecca, ReachGlobal personnel in Latin America, who is speaking at the ADIEL's Women’s Conference April 9-20 in Venezuela. She will also be meeting with the women’s ministry team, “Mujeres Sin Fronteras” who she works with to develop women’s ministries throughout Latin America. Pray for clarity of the Word as she shares at the conference. Pray that the ministry team would have a God-directed time of planning, evaluating and strengthening the ministry for the coming year.

School Accreditation Standards

Pray for Jen, ReachGlobal personnel at Bucharest Christian Academy in Romania, in Ethiopia April 9-14¬¬¬.  Jen is part of an accreditation team, to assist in evaluating a school’s compliance with ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) accreditation standards. Ask God to protect her in her travels and during her time in Addis Ababa. Pray that all the reading of reports and writing Jen and the team did in preparation will bring about results that glorify God and accomplish the goals of this trip.

BCA in Romania

Ask God to give the board members at Bucharest Christian Academy (BCA) in Romania wisdom and discernment for the final interview April 8-10, for the school’s new director. Ask God to give BCA’s staff wisdom and encouragement, growth in their faith and continued financial support. Also, pray for qualified, dedicated Christians to fill the positions that need to be filled for the next school year.

Afterschool program in Austria

Pray for Tara, ReachGlobal personnel in Austria, who coordinates the afterschool program at The Lighthouse in Innsbruck. Tara works with 20 people that volunteer every week to teach the 15 students coming for help with their homework. Ask God to give her wisdom and flexibility when she must fill-in as an English or math teacher at the last minute. Pray for continued evidence of positive relationships forming between the teachers and students. Pray that God will use this ministry to bring youth to Him.

Visas for Spain

Pray for Bill and Renee, ReachGlobal personnel who served in Tanzania and are transitioning to Spain. Ask God to give them safe travels as they fly today to Dar es Salaam and favor with the Tanzanian authorities as they petition for the documentation required by Spain in order to obtain residency papers and their visas. Ask God to provide the funds needed to pay for the trip to Tanzania and for the fees the Tanzanian government will charge for the documents. Pray that all the documentation will be in order and acceptable to all who will process it so that the resident visas will be issued to them in time to leave for Spain the end of June.

Pastor training in Kenya

Pray for Al and Edie, members of the ReachGlobal church development and pastor training team, and a U.S. pastor who are in Kenya for their first training with the network of pastors and their wives who are ready for more comprehensive training. The goal is to see many training networks around the world where U.S. pastors help train nationals to be trainers of other pastors in their own countries. Pray that in the next two years 15 to 20 U.S. pastors will be recruited to help the Global Church Development team with these training opportunities. Ask God to bless Edie and give her clarity as she teaches the women. Pray for safety and good health for them all.

Outreach in Poland

Pray for Loren and Christina, ReachGlobal personnel in Poland, hosting an international supper outreach event on April 2, for students and other internationals in Szczecin. Pray that this event will generate new contacts, both for their international fellowship and for the local Intervarsity chapter on campus. As a spinoff to this event, Loren is organizing dorm Bible studies to give students a chance to take a closer look at Christianity. Ask God to bless their ministry and give them wisdom as they seek to reach students with the gospel.
