Teaching in Mexico

Pray for Enrique, Mery, and Mark as they travel to Mexico in January, to teach techniques in distance learning and instructional design to 20 college professors in a university ProMETA is in partnership with. Pray that God will bless this training and that the professors will have comprehension so they can implement these courses in the 2012 program. Pray that as a result of this partnership, ProMETA will receive accreditation from the Mexican government.

Ministry in the Amazon

Praise God for the ministry that took place in eight villages along the upper Ucayali River in the Amazon. The medical team cared for 1,000 individuals, and water filters were installed. Many individuals accepted the Lord, including a village witch doctor. The Shipibo pastor and students are working together translating key Old Testament stories into their native language. Pray for Blair and Joan, ReachGlobal personnel in strategic partnership ministries, as they train teams to bring the gospel to indigenous communities throughout the Ucayali region.

Missions Conference in Germany

Pray for James, ReachGlobal Europe area leader, who is representing ReachGlobal as an exhibitor at the Mission-Net Conference in Erfurt, Germany December 27-Janurary 2.  Close to 3,000 18-25 year olds are attending the conference to learn about missions. Pray that the Holy Spirit would work in these young Europeans and give them a passion to serve God through missions. Pray for health and strength throughout of the week for James, Julie and their kids as they man the table and interact with the young people.

Youth Olympic Games in Austria

Pray for the Innsbruck City Team as they work with other ministry partners planning outreach to the 1,000 teen athletes from 65 countries attending the Youth Olympic Games in Austria January 13-22. Pray that believers will join the outreach in great numbers and that young people from around the world will find Jesus.

Retreat in the mountains

Pray for Phil and Cindy, ReachGlobal personnel in Belgium, traveling with a group of college and career students to Austria for a Christmas retreat December 26-January 2. They will be studying God's Word and listening to guest speakers as they focus on the theme of relationships. Pray that during this week God will draw these students closer together and teach all of them more of Himself. Pray for protection and good health.

Christmas Day celebration

Pray for Dan and Carrie, ReachGlobal personnel in Belgium, and their church as they host all the Iranian believers on Christmas Day. Pray for a blessed time together in Christ at this Christmas outreach celebration. Pray for the new refugees arriving in Brussels that the believers would have love and compassion as they welcome them and share the love of Christ.

Pray that Jesus will be glorified at the Christmas celebration Larry and Bella, ReachGlobal personnel in Japan, are hosting for the victims of the tsunami at the temporary housing facility on December 23. Pray for the preparations, the gospel message and open hearts to the love of Christ of those who come seeking.

Alta de Lisboa church plant

Pray for the church plant project that Jonathan and Traci, ReachGlobal personnel in Portugal, are involved in. The neighborhood Alta de Lisboa is located in is a mix of lower class people living in government subsidized housing and across the street are middle/upper class people. Pray for wisdom and direction for the church planting team on how to tailor outreach to these specific demographics. Ask the Lord for His leading and His vision for this church and neighborhood.

Milestone reached

Pray for wisdom and the Holy Spirit’s guidance for Jim and Melanie, ReachGlobal personnel in Costa Rica, who have completed language school and are now focusing full-time to ministry and the development of the new San Jose City Team.

Arrival on ministry field

Pray for God's grace and peace for several ReachGlobal missionaries who recently arrived on their ministry field. Pray that they may adapt quickly to their new culture, acquire good language skills and develop relationships with their team and those they will minister to.

Annual community outreach

Pray for the Christmas event on December 18, hosted by the Lotte Sunday school in the Philippines. This annual community outreach regularly reaches at least 150 people with the gospel. Pray for God’s blessing on those who serve the meals, conduct the games and give the presentations. Pray that the fruit of the Holy Spirit will be evident in the interactions between the volunteer teachers and the students.

Christmas at Kelenfold Ministry Center

Pray that many hearts will be captured by the gospel message during the Christmas outreach at the Kelenfold Ministry Center coffee house in Budapest, Hungary, on December 17. Ask that the Budapest City Team will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance as they interact with those who are looking for hope and truth at this time of year.

Ministry in Lyon

Pray for grace and wisdom for Mike as he leads the Lyon City Team and pastors the International Christian Community of Lyon (ICCL). Ask God to give Caryn endurance and encouragement as she invests in their children, builds vital relationships in their neighborhood and serves in the ICCL.

Surgery today

Pray for Rachel, ReachGlobal personnel in Africa, as she undergoes knee surgery today in Iowa. Praise to the Lord that the surgery on her first knee went well and she has been recovering. Pray for skilful hands of the medical team, for protection from infection and complications. Ask God to give her joy and patience during the recovery process.

Film Outreach in Italy

Pray for Zach and Naomi, ReachGlobal personnel in Italy, who have been invited to partner with a small local church to lead film discussion groups next month. After three months, the teams, made up of church members, missionaries and local Italian filmmakers, anticipate making a short film together to enter in Rome's 48-hour film festival. Pray for this endeavor and for the relationships that need to be solidified in the coming months. Pray for God’s blessing on this opportunity to create a context in which evangelism and fellowship can happen naturally while working on the project.

Christmas outreach in Japan

Pray for Duane, ReachGlobal personnel in Japan, who is involved in hosting the Christmas outreach event on December 10. Pray that many English students and their families will attend this special evening and that the Lord would use it to speak truth and love into their lives this Christmas.

Ministering in France

Pray for God’s blessing on Jonah, Amy and their children, ReachGlobal personnel in Lyon, as they serve in a church plant under the leadership of a French pastor. Ask the Lord to open opportunities to share the gospel with their neighbors during the Christmas season. Pray that they would see fruit in their endeavors and continue to be a positive impact in the church and their neighborhood.

Christmas Celebration event in Peru

Pray for Meredith, ReachGlobal personnel in Tarma, Peru, hosting the Christmas Celebration December 7, for people involved in the Bible studies and others who have shown an interest. Pray for deepening relationships and that the seeds of the gospel would continue to be planted as another advent study gets underway with new contacts.

Discipling high school students

Pray for the Rajska Zahrada church plant’s need for a person to serve in the area of outreach English and discipleship among high school students. Pray for Caleb, ReachGlobal personnel in Czech Republic, as he completes his ministry at this church and transitions back to the U.S. Ask God to raise up another worker to minister to these high school students and continue Caleb's study of taking this group deeper in their understanding of Jesus.

Teaching at CISP

Pray for wisdom and knowledge for Vicky, ReachGlobal personnel in Czech Republic, who teaches four high school courses at CISP (Christian International School of Prague). Vicky has also spoken in the student chapels about the need to reconnect with God and others by confession of sin, repentance and forgiveness. The Holy Spirit is bringing about positive responses among students grappling with difficult life issues. Pray that they will give careful attention to what they are being taught and walk in obedience to God’s Word. 

Team training and orientation

Pray for the team training and orientation December 3, for 15 people preparing to go on an anti-trafficking vision, learning and service team to India January 23–February 4. Pray that Sharon, director of Justice Initiatives, Kathy and Steve will clearly communicate all the topics and that the foundation for team bonding and unity will be laid during this time together.

Discipling new believers

Dave and Patsy, ReachGlobal personnel in Cameroon, are planning a one day conference December 3, for 16 new believers in Jesus. Pray that everyone would come, as some of them live a distance away. Pray that the Cameroonian chaplains who will be speaking from John 1 will speak with authority and communicate clearly. Pray that God will bring those who need to attend and that their fellowship with one another will be an encouragement to all.

Presidential election DR Congo

The Congo Free Church is one of ReachGlobal's largest and most dynamic national partner churches with a number of ministries impacting tens of thousands of people for Christ. Pray for Pastor Selenga, his family, and our brothers and sisters in DR Congo surrounding the elections that took place on November 28. Pray for the Lord’s peace and protection to be evident in their lives and in their nation. Pray that the situation would not escalate into bringing more destruction and violence to Congo.

Bringing awareness of human trafficking

Pray for wisdom and clarity for ReachGlobal Europe leaders who are in Sofia, Bulgaria, November 30-December 6, working with the local church to create regional awareness of human trafficking. Ask the Holy Spirit to help them discern what is best as they focus their training on a biblical response to this crucial issue of modern-day slavery.

Additional teaching responsibilities

Pray for Sherry, ReachGlobal personnel in Asia, who has been asked to teach two additional classes at the university for a fellow teacher who had to return to the U.S. for medical care. Ask God to give her stamina and wisdom as she prepares a different curriculum and adds four hours of classroom time to her schedule and other teaching responsibilities.

Thanksgiving celebration in Japan

Pray for Mark, Athlee and the COEN (Connect through English) Life Changing Leadership Team in Japan hosting an outreach event on November 26. Ask God to bless the Thanksgiving celebration centering around a meal and sharing from the Bible on thankfulness. Pray that the participants will be touched by God’s love, grace and mercy at this celebration.

Business Discipleship program

Pray for Daniel, ReachGlobal personnel in Costa Rica, and the team from Vida Abundante del Este (VAE) Church, reaching Costa Rican business leaders through the Business Discipleship program. The VAE team held a series of workshops for business people, teaching Biblical principles on integrity, vision and time management. Pray, also, for the support of additional leaders that enables the team to expand the scope of the ministry in 2012 to include training for starting a business; Jobs for Life, developing the character, tools and support network essential for obtaining and keeping a job; Job Bank, connecting employers with potential employees within the church; and Bible studies on work- and business-related topics.

The need is urgent

Pray for Phil, Cindy, Duane and Penny, ReachGlobal personnel in Belgium, as they are in urgent need for a U.S. team of six teachers to join them for English Camp in the Austrian Tirol April 2-11, 2012. Ask God to open the way for a church to send a team who wants to serve the Lord teaching English and gospel-oriented activities. Praise God that all the openings have been filled by Belgian youth eager to participate in this camp.

Church planting course

Pray for Tim, ReachGlobal personnel with ProMETA, who is facilitating the church planting course as part of the Ministerial Courses Program. Pray for effectiveness of the short courses in meeting needs in the churches. By offering courses of shorter duration, pray that ProMETA staff will reach many pastors, small group facilitators, and lay leaders.  

Teaching Opportunities

Pray for Tony, ReachGlobal personnel in Asia, who is preparing messages to preach in the Indonesian language on November 20 and again in January. Pray for this ministry of the Word that God would put the right messages on his heart to share and give him the ability to communicate the message clearly.

Teaching and Discipling in Peru

Pray for Jim, ReachGlobal personnel in Peru, as he teaches in the Condevilla church and other institutions in the city. Ask the Holy Spirit to give him knowledge and clarity as he disciples several men on a weekly basis and to use him effectively as he works with the pastors of ADIEL, our sister Evangelical Free Church denomination in Peru and Venezuela.

Recuperation

Continue to pray for health and healing for Tom, ReachGlobal personnel in Bosnia, recovering from a motorcycle accident. Pray for discernment and energy for Tom and Kristie through the recuperation process. Pray for boldness and understanding as they care for, encourage and challenge the believers who are part of the house churches.

Youth ministry and evangelism in Austria

Pray for Dave, Innsbruck City Team leader, as he networks and helps support Tirol’s youth groups and leaders to mobilize for province-wide outreach and retreats. Ask God to give Dave discernment and guidance as he serves on the national youth ministry task force which focuses on supporting youth ministry and developing young leaders. God has given Dave and Cathrin many opportunities to make friends and share Jesus with neighbors and friends. Pray for spiritual wisdom and understanding for Cathrin who leads their home Bible study that those who attend will place their trust and faith in Jesus.

RG Leadership Meetings

Pray for unity, wisdom and the clear leadership of the Lord as the ReachGlobal Directional Team meets November 14-18, for a week of discussions, training, evaluation and strategic planning.  

Home Assignment Ministry

Pray for ReachGlobal personnel on home assignment to have meaningful times encouraging and sharing with churches, donors and friends about the ministries and projects they and their teams are developing and engaged in to reach the lost for Christ. Ask God to provide safety in their travels, good health, and the support needed to continue ministry on the field.

Group leader at retreat

Pray for energy and spiritual guidance for Jane, ReachGlobal personnel on the Montreal City Team, who is serving as a group leader at the Overturning Strongholds retreat November 11-13. Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare the hearts and minds of those who are attending this counseling and training event. 

Small group ministry in Romania

Pray for guidance for Dave and Jen, ReachGlobal personnel, as they lead their Romanian small group meeting tomorrow to set direction for their meetings and consider outreach possibilities. Praise God for the multiplication of faith in Jesus Christ that one of the group members, who was baptized three years ago, will witness when his mother, father, brother and sister-in-law are baptized on November 27.

Urgent health concern

Pray for retired ReachGlobal missionary, John Neir, who suffered a heart attack while traveling in China. He is in stable condition at a hospital in Hong Kong. Pray for skilful hands of the medical team, for protection from infection and complications, for rapid and complete recovery. Pray for peace and comfort for his wife, Doris, as she is away from him and not advised to travel to Hong Kong.

Children's Ministry in Peru

Ask the Lord to give wisdom, strength and patience to Kay, ReachGlobal personnel in Peru, and the four women who lead the children’s ministry at the Condevilla church. Pray for more workers to step up as this ministry expands and the children need encouragement and reinforcement from the many bad influences around them. Pray that as these children hear and learn God’s Word they will be molded more and more into the image of Christ.

Teaching and Counseling in Indonesia

Pray for wisdom and stamina for Carol, ReachGlobal personnel, teaching and counseling at two women's ministry events in Indonesia. Ask God to bless and encourage the fifty women, mostly church planter’s wives, at a retreat November 8-10. Pray for Carol as she meets with women leaders of our national partner organization November 11-15, to discuss issues and needs of the wives of church planters.

Spiritual team retreat

Pray for the ProMETA (the Latin America training network) team’s spiritual retreat November 4-6, as they focus on John 13-17. Pray for the team members struggling with health issues. Pray for spiritual protection and ministry effectiveness. Ask God to achieve His purposes for them individually and as a team.

Answering spiritual questions

Pray for Brian and Sarah, ReachGlobal personnel in Rome, who are hosting a Friday night Discovery Group in their apartment building from November 4 until Christmas. Ask the Holy Spirit to use Brian and Sarah as they reach out to their neighbors who are asking spiritual questions and who all said they are going to attend. Pray that the truths discussed in this course will result in many of these neighbors coming to faith in Jesus Christ.

Training Resource

Pray for God's guidance as Steve, ReachGlobal personnel in Montreal, continues to develop FISHing Expedition, a hands-on training process for teaching people how to read and understand the Bible. He is close to completing a summary that can be translated into French. Pray for completion, testing, and translation of this manuscript.

OEC 2012

Pray for Phil and Cindy, ReachGlobal personnel in Belgium, preparing for Outreach English Camp (OEC) to be held April 2-10, 2012. Ask God to meet the urgent need for a U.S. team of six from a supporting church to help in this ministry with Belgian youth. Pray now that God would be lifted up and that lives would be impacted by the gospel at this OEC.

Opportunity to Teach English

Pray for David, ReachGlobal personnel in Bulgaria, as he teaches English to a group of Turkish and Bulgarian men two evenings a week. Pray that these classes would serve as a platform for spiritual discussions, and that these men would hear the truth of the gospel and believe.

Health alert in CAR

Dr. Tim, ReachGlobal medical personnel in Central African Republic, has alerted the health authorities upon diagnosing the first case of Cholera at Gamboula Hospital. Pray for wisdom as Tim and the medical staff deal with the situation, as there have been cases around them in the last months that have caused concern. Ask God to cover the medical staff with His protection and with His peace so that they are able to help their patients.

Strategic meetings in Europe

Pray for God’s wisdom and direction for the ReachGlobal Europe Division leaders meeting in Berlin October 27-November 4, to develop strategies for mobilizing missions in the major cities of the world. Also, pray that God would give safe travels and protect the leadership team as they meet with new staff in Athens November 4-11. Pray for kingdom-minded relationships, missional effectiveness and networking.

Media support

Pray for Darin and Staci, ReachGlobal personnel in SE Asia, whose ministry of media support aids workers in furthering the gospel. Ask God to give them creativity and knowledge as they produce video and DVD projects on counseling and home schooling. Pray for them as they travel to a hill tribe orphanage to capture pictures and video of the children that will be used to get sponsorships for the children’s living expenses.

TEC Board Meets

Pray for Jim, ReachGlobal area leader for Eastern Europe, participating in the annual Board of Directors meeting for Trinity Equipping Center in Russia, a residential Bible College program to prepare people for ministry. Pray for unity, insight and clarity as brothers and sisters from different nations and perspectives gather to help provide direction for this dynamic work.

Learning English

Pray for Sheryll, ReachGlobal personnel in the Czech Republic, who teaches at the Horní Počernice English classes on Monday evenings. Pray for God’s wisdom, guidance and creativity to know how best to help the students learn English and to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, pray for God’s strength, energy and good health for Sheryll, the other teachers, and the students.

Training leaders in Mexico City

Pray for Joshua, ReachGlobal personnel in Mexico City, as he prepares for the launching of Gateway Theological Institute. It’s a program (with a strong focus on church planting) designed to train leaders who can’t attend a traditional seminary. Pray for the seven students who are registered and that more would be interested and committed to this training.

English Coffee and Chat outreach

Pray for effective ministry at the English Coffee and Chat outreach at Fukuoka EFC in Japan, on October 21. Ask God to bless the ReachGlobal personnel as they interact with those who come, encouraging them in their spiritual walk with the Lord. Pray for boldness when opportunities open to share the gospel with new comers.

Students in Tanzania Learning English

Pray for Betty, Carol and Steve, ReachGlobal personnel in Tanzania, that God will give them creativity in teaching English as a foreign language to the 50 students in each of their classes. Pray for the men and women who are being trained as disciplers of Jesus, to be ready to reach out and train others in the places where God leads them. Pray that God will bring revival to this school, with students and staff becoming followers of Jesus. 

Coordinator of Ministerial Courses Program

Pray for Becky, ReachGlobal personnel in Costa Rica with ProMETA, who was appointed coordinator of the Ministerial Courses Program, which is a group of short courses offered to those who have not finished a college degree, but are in formal ministry and needing non-formal training. Pray for her as she handles the details and procedures to help leaders take advantage of this learning opportunity.

ProMETA course on family communication

Pray for Gordon, ReachGlobal personnel with Latin America Training Network (LATN), who will be teaching on Successful Family Communication for ProMETA (Spanish for LATN) October 17-November 4. Pray that this course would be an encouragement to those who take it and that there would be some who will sign up for the Master’s course that ProMETA offers. Ask God to provide the students and finances that this work continue for His honor and glory.

Speaking to Chinese Congregation

Pray for Jay, ReachGlobal personnel in Asia, who is preaching in the Chinese language on Sunday, October 16. Pray that Jay will speak with clarity and understanding so that his message will be a blessing and encouragement to those who hear it.

Bible studies in Russia

Pray for the growth and development of three evangelistic Bible studies this fall in Kursk. Pray for steady attendance and the participant’s receptivity to the work of the Holy Spirit through the study of God’s Word. Pray for guidance, wisdom and a close relationship with the Lord for those who are leading these Bible studies.

PT Live

Pray for the six missionary candidates who are participating in the PT Live (pre-field training) event October 12-20, in Minneapolis. Pray for the nine facilitators from EQUIP and ENHANCE as they present and focus on topics of cross-cultural ministry, teamwork, spiritual warfare, evangelism, disciple-making, and other critical issues. Pray that as the participants reflect on what they are learning, they will have clarity and discernment about the ministry God is leading and preparing for them.

Teaching English in Poland

Pray for Charles, ReachGlobal personnel in Poland, who is teaching English to a group on Wednesdays. Pray that Charles will have wisdom and clarity in communicating so that the students will experience improvement in their speaking and listening skills. Ask God to use Charles to be a light and witness for Him so that opportunities will open to share his faith.

Pray for Europe Area Leaders Mike and Don as they meet with the Montreal City Team this week for a time of assessment and strategic planning. Pray for relationship building, team building, a clear assessment of present ministry, and alignment of vision for the future.

Accident in Bosnia

Pray for Tom, ReachGlobal personnel in Sarajevo, Bosnia, was injured in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, October 5. Tom was traveling to Tuzla to initiate students at the American University to a course that he teaches via video link. On a curve in the mountains, a car from the other direction crossed the white line and forced Tom into a guardrail. The other car did not stop and fled the scene. God provided immediate assistance with a passerby who Tom already knew.  Tom has a fractured bone in his leg and a seriously damaged ankle. Today, Tom was evacuated to Paris for surgery on Sunday. Please pray for skilful hands of the medical team, for protection from infection and complications, for rapid and complete recovery through the long physical therapy phase of recuperation.

Urgent prayer for Sudan

Please pray for Sudan. As the tribes of Southern Sudan have gained their freedom they are now taking control of very loosely divided land. Tribes are fighting, deaths are being reported and people involved in the EFC of Sudan may find themselves in danger.

Teaching little ones in Macao

Pray for wisdom and patience for Joy, ReachGlobal personnel in Macao, who is teaching the 2-3 year old's PlayGroup at the Adult Education Center starting October 8. Pray for the children that God will bring to the group, and for the parents (one parent or caregiver must come with the child). Pray that Joy and Suki, Joy’s assistant, would be able to establish a good relationship with them, and have many opportunities to share God’s love.

Teaching English in Rome

Pray for Brian and Sarah, ReachGlobal personnel in Rome, as each of them is teaching conversational English to at least 12 Italian students. Pray for wisdom and knowledge as they prepare lessons infused with spiritual content that prompts hearty dialogue about faith. Ask the Holy Spirit to give the students open minds and hearts to understand God’s Word as Brian begins the class with a portion from the Gospel of John.

Recruiting Workers

Pray for safety in travel and divine appointments for Lonnie, ReachGlobal personnel in France, who is in the U.S. during the month of October, to attend missions conferences and to recruit workers for ministry in Marseille. Ask God to call out workers who will take the gospel to the people of Marseille.

Teaching in Prague

Pray for Vicky and Mindy, ReachGlobal personnel in the Czech Republic, who teach students of both the international and Czech communities at the Christian International School of Prague. Pray for wisdom and knowledge as they teach and encourage the students to follow Jesus with all their mind, strength, and heart.

Mentoring laborers for Christ

Pray for wisdom and insight for Donna, TouchGlobal communications coordinator, who is participating in a mentoring class at her church for ReachGlobal missionary candidates and others who desire to serve God worldwide. Ask God to give them discernment, guidance and courage to follow His leading into the future. 

ENGAGE facilitates REV

Pray for wisdom and insight for ReachGlobal directors of ENGAGE, ENHANCE and Personnel as they observe and assess the missionary candidates during the Readiness EVent (REV) October 1-7. Ask God to give them a good balance between discerning readiness and health, but also listening to the Holy Spirit’s leading. Pray for grace and energy for the candidate coaches and support staff on the ENGAGE Team as they host the candidates throughout the week.

ENHANCE facilitates Debriefing

Pray for a time of encouragement and spiritual vitality for the ReachGlobal missionaries attending Debriefing at the national office September 29-30. Ask God to give wisdom and discernment to the ENHANCE Team as they listen, shoulder burdens, offer perspective, and talk through possible solutions. Pray that this event will provide missionary care, team building and resources to develop healthy and effective missionaries who carry out the ReachGlobal mission statement to glorify God by multiplying healthy churches among all people.

Ministry to Refugees in Belgium

Pray for Duane, ReachGlobal personnel in Belgium, who is devoting two days a week to Gave Veste, a ministry to refugees in Ghent. The local churches desire that all refugees who come to Belgium be introduced to Christ in a language they understand and will be cared for. Ask God to bless this ministry and give Duane a rapport with the refugees so they will be open to the spiritual and physical helped being offered.  

Ministry trip to East Africa

Pray for Kevin, ReachGlobal Africa International leader, as he prepares for a trip to East Africa in October, to meet with ReachGlobal staff in Tanzania, the African ministry partners in Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi and ReachGlobal Africa Division LeadTeam in Kenya. Pray for God's grace as he completes the preparations for this trip and makes the contacts he needs with churches interested in ministry in Africa, potential new missionary candidates, and ministry partners in the U.S.

Ministry in Czech Republic

Pray for Ritch, ReachGlobal personnel in the Czech Republic, as he teaches and mentors national partners within the contexts of the Rajska Zahrada church plant, Evangelical Theological Seminary, and European church planters. ProMeta partnership agreement

Praise for the partnership agreement between the Latin America Training Network (LATN: Spanish ProMETA) and the Evangelical University of Lima. This means that ProMETA will be training the University professors in ProMETA’s masters programs and training them in how to do online education for their own programs. Ask God for His wisdom and guidance as ReachGlobal personnel prepare and implement this training that is scheduled to begin in 2012.

MCC in Japan

Pray for Howard and Marilynn, ReachGlobal personnel in Japan, who work with a variety of Musashino Chapel Center (MCC) ministries and people. Pray that God will bless them with wisdom and knowledge in their leadership positions. Ask for God’s blessing on the anniversary celebration at this weekend's MCC church retreat. Pray that this event will move the congregation to a new passion in achieving its mission in Tokyo and beyond.       

Flooding in Brazil

Pray for Craig, Jeff, Mike and Mark, ReachGlobal personnel, who are responding to the major flooding in Rio do Sul, Brazil. Ask God to give them wisdom and discernment as they have an opportunity to come alongside brothers in Christ and mobilize Brazilian churches to serve those whose homes, churches, businesses and schools have been destroyed. Pray that hearts will be softened to the Good News of Jesus Christ. 

Conferences on Autism in Ukraine

Pray for the Dave, Oksana, Linda and Ron, ReachGlobal personnel on the EQUIP Team, as they teach and serve at two conferences on autism for parents and professionals in Ukraine, September 22–October 9. Pray that the Lord would cause relationships to develop and deepen for the sake of the gospel through these conferences and through divinely appointed conversations.

Prayer and Fasting

Boys and Girls Club in Tanzania

Pray for wisdom and strength for Claudia, Laura and Kathy, ReachGlobal personnel in Tanzania, as they lead 2:30 Club for 15 boys and girls on Saturdays. Praise God that two Bible story groups were established to accommodate the new children coming to Club. Pray for hearts tender to the gospel and that God would draw them to His love and mercy.

Training in missions outreach

Pray for Rock and Rachel, ReachGlobal personnel, assisting in training sessions at a church in Des Moines, IA, on September 16-17 and also in Williston, SD, September 23-24. This training, Developing a Missions Strategy that Fits Your Church, is designed to help churches become intentional and focused in their missions outreach. Pray that God will use this training to motivate and challenge each participant to be involved in expanding God’s Kingdom.

Young adult ministry in France

Pray for Jonah and Amy, ReachGlobal personnel in France, ministering among the young adult group in their church. Pray for wisdom and open doors to disciple the university students and young adults who are growing in the Lord. Pray that the Lord would raise up several young adults who would lead Bible studies and evangelistic outreach. Also, ask God for opportunities with the families in Jonah and Amy’s apartment building to discuss spiritual matters and strengthen friendships. Some of them come from other faiths, some are outwardly hurting, and all have questions about life and its meaning.

Ministry planning meetings

Pray for the TouchGlobal Crisis Response ministry planning meeting in Covington, LA, September 13-16. Ask the Lord to make these days together a vital connection time as a team and a refreshing time with the Lord. Pray for wisdom and greater clarity in moving ministry forward as they handle many crises in the U.S. and globally.

Bible study in Costa Rica

Pray for Melissa, ReachGlobal personnel in Costa Rica, who leads a girls’ Bible study on Tuesday nights through the local English-speaking youth group. Pray for the Lord’s blessing on Melissa as she prepares the lessons that she will communicate with clarity and understanding. Ask God to give each of the girls a strong commitment to make their life count for Christ by learning more from His Word.

Teaching at BFA

Pray for God’s blessing on Mike and Loralee, ReachGlobal personnel who teach German and music to the students at Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany. They have the opportunity to touch the lives of many young people as they prepare to set out on their own after high school. Pray for wisdom and discernment as Mike and Loralee disciple the students, and that changes in the students would be deep and lasting as they are allowing God to work in them.

Outreach events in Japan

Pray for Duane, ReachGlobal personnel in Japan, who is involved in many outreach events in Fukuoka. Pray for the mens English Bible study on Tuesday afternoons, Oasis Japanese Bible study on Thursday mornings, and Sunday evening English worship. Ask God’s blessing on the cooking class outreach September 10 and the English Coffee and Chat at Fukuoka EFC on September 16. Pray that these connections will open doors for the gospel to be shared and people drawn to faith in Christ.

New school year at ICSB

Pray for Mark, Jodi, Jonah and Parker, ReachGlobal personnel in Hungary, as they start a new school year at the International Christian School of Budapest (ICSB). Pray for the boys to form good friendships, to learn well and grow in their faith. Pray for Jodi as she teaches music at ICSB, that strong relationships will develop with faculty, students and families, especially those who don't know Christ. Pray for Mark as he takes an intensive Hungarian language course at the Debrecen Language Institute in Budapest to have comprehension, focus and clarity of mind.

New semester in LATN

Pray for the launch of a new semester in LATN including the new 15-week induction course. Pray that it will be a successful course and that new students will become better learners in LATN as well as better teachers of others. Pray for Mark, ReachGlobal personnel with LATN, as he works on new training materials for faculty on how to design significant learning experiences. He will introduce this material for the first time in Mexico in December.

CONNECT Planning Retreat

Pray for the CONNECT team as they meet for their planning retreat September 6-8. Pray for the missions strategy workshops that several CONNECT team members will be facilitating with churches around the U.S. this fall. Ask God to multiply the global missions outreach of these churches with whom the CONNECT team is and will be working.

MANI Conference in Nigeria

Pray for the leaders of ReachGlobal and ReachAfrica who are attending MANI (Movement for Africa National Initiatives) Conference in Nigeria September 4-10. Pray for travel safety and good health for the participants. Pray that this will be a time of blessing as they build new relationships with one another and work towards positive outcomes for the glory of God. Pray against the evil one who would seek to hinder and discourage any progress that will expand the Kingdom of God.

Young adult retreat in Montreal

Pray for Jay, ReachGlobal personnel in Montreal, who will be teaching four times at a young adult retreat Labor Day weekend. Pray for his wife, Kathy as she ministers on the worship team. Pray for the 50 participants attending that God would speak to them through the messages and the two workshops that deal with apologetics and creating a strong base for faith in Christ. Pray for Jay as he prepares and for the Holy Spirit to be working in the hearts of the young people who will attend.

Teaching at Seminary in Prague

Pray for wisdom and clarity for Curt, ReachGlobal personnel in the Czech Republic, as he teaches at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Prague. Pray for willing hearts and minds to respond to God’s Spirit as He works to bring spiritual transformation in the teachers’ and students’ lives.

Hospital care

Pray for Jan, ReachGlobal personnel in Central African Republic, as she has daily contact with many patients and their families at the hospital in Gamboula. Pray that her service to the number of unreached people groups would create open doors for the gospel to be shared and draw them to faith in Christ.

Pastors' Wives Fellowship

Pray that Arlys, ReachGlobal personnel in the Philippines, will be a blessing and encouragement to the women at the Pastors’ Wives Fellowship in Panabo today. Pray that the Lord will give these women boldness and a desire to be more involved in discipleship. Pray that this time of fellowship will help to strengthen their relationship with one another and build them up in the faith.

Help needed in Minot

The situation in Minot, ND, due to the flooding is critical. With winter coming, homes need to get cleaned, dried and heated before freezing temperatures do further damage. Pray that churches will mobilize teams to help the people of North Dakota and show the love of Christ. Pray that this work will be completed by the end of October.

Ministry trip in Peru

Pray for Rebecca, ReachGlobal personnel in Latin America, on a ministry trip in Peru August 25-31, with the “Women without Borders” ministry through ReachGlobal. Rebecca and the team are training the women leaders to encourage and stimulate them in their ministry to women. Ask God to use this time to reshape hearts, lives and priorities. Also, pray for God’s blessing on the meeting the team will have with the pastors of the EFC of Peru to evaluate this ministry, the partnership with them and the future development of a women’s ministry in Peru.

Support Team Building

Pray for the ReachGlobal missionary candidates who are in the process of raising their financial and prayer support. Ask the Lord to encourage them and open doors for them as they travel and make contacts with those who are led to partner in ministry with them. Pray for their spiritual, physical and emotional health through this journey.

Church planting course

Pray for God’s blessing on Ernest, ReachGlobal personnel in Venezuela, who is teaching a course on church planting this week at a Missions Institute. Ask God to give clarity and understanding to the 15 students participating in this class. Pray that what they learn will enable them to build kingdom churches that reach many Latin Americans with the gospel.

Training in India

Pray for Sharon and a nurse from New Zealand, training village health workers in India August 24-26. Pray that God will bless their preparation and delivery of the material as they team teach this three-day course. Ask God to give the health workers wisdom and understanding of the prevention strategy as they work with the people in the villages.

Retreat in the mountains

Pray for Dave and Jen, ReachGlobal personnel in Bucharest, as they participate in their church retreat in the mountains of Romania August 19-21. Pray that the Lord will do a significant work within this fellowship and ask Him to bring revival in individual hearts and to the group, that will unite them in service of others. Pray for God’s protection and health during these three days.

Evangelism series

Pray for Charles, ReachGlobal personnel in Poland, as he develops an evangelism series of four-steps in understanding salvation to use in the church plant in Zgierz. Pray that the people they share the gospel with would be open to trust in Jesus as Savior and follow Him as Lord. Pray for Charles and Shelly as they come alongside the pastor to help out in this new church plant and do one-on-one follow up with those who are interested in spiritual things.

Innsbruck City Team Retreat

Pray for the Innsbruck City Team Retreat Aug 17-20, as they review the year’s ministry, debrief English Camps and plan and pray for the future. Ask God to give Dave, Cathrin, Tara and Carrie insight, guidance and unity of spirit in their discussions and decisions. Pray that God will provide the resources and personnel they need to continue ministering to youth in Innsbruck.

Teaching at Bible school in Asia

Pray for Tom, ReachGlobal personnel in Asia, who is teaching a course on “Supernatural Change” at the Bible training school this week. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s presence and power to reveal Christ’s glory, strengthen faith, instill a resolve to pursue Christlikeness, and encourage faithfulness to gospel ministry. Ask God to use everyone to bless and encourage each other. Pray for God to guide regarding a possible future Kingdom partnership.

Health concern

Pray for the serious health issues of the ReachGlobal leader to Indonesia and wisdom for the medical team in the U.S. who are treating him. Ask God to guard his health and restore his energy, strength, and mental alertness so he can prepare and teach a class on prayer at his church on August. 21. Pray that when he sees the lung specialist on September 12, the report will indicate improvement and no sign of infection.

Women's fellowship in Manila

Pray for Arlys, ReachGlobal personnel in the Philippines, who is speaking on discipleship at the Pastors’ Wives Fellowship in Manila July 13. Ask God to use the handouts Arlys has prepared for the women to bless and edify them in their ministries. Pray for opportunities for her to meet individually with and encourage the pastors’ wives while she is in the city this weekend. 

Support Needs

Pray that God will provide the needed funds so that ReachGlobal workers can carry out their ministry effectively; that God will develop in them a spirit of trust and confidence in His ability; and that God will show them how to seek the additional support in ways that honor Him.

Europe Area Conference in Germany

Pray for the ReachGlobal Europe Area Conference in Germany August 11-16. Ask God to bless the personnel who serve in Europe and the national office staff as they participate in times of learning, connecting with others in similar ministries, and in group worship. Pray for all to sense God’s presence, purpose, thoughts, voice, and desires during the corporate day of prayer and fasting. Ask God to guide the workshops and forums that are focusing on Developing a Heart of Influence. May this time build them up in their walk with the Lord and that each one will make a difference as they serve others for Jesus’ sake.

Follow up to English Camps

Pray for the number of children and parents that ReachGlobal personnel have had contact with this summer through English camps. Pray for effective follow up. Ask the Holy Spirit to be at work in building relationships and for steps of faith that lead to eternal life.

New School Year for MKs

Pray for ReachGlobal missionary kids (MKs) as they are gearing up for the start of the new school year. Ask God to bless those who are home schooled, headed off to college, or attending one of these MK schools where ReachGlobal has a presence: Rainforest Academy (Cameroon), Grace International School (Thailand), Bucharest Christian Academy (Romania), International Christian School of Budapest (Hungary), International Christian School of Prague (Czech Republic), Black Forest Academy (Germany), Faith Academy (Philippines) and Haven of Peace Academy (Tanzania). Pray for the health and safety of students and faculty.

Preparing for New School Year

Pray for wisdom, inspiration, and good prioritizing of time for Gil and Amy, ReachGlobal personnel at Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) in Tanzania. Pray for Gil as he prepares for the upcoming school year and helps new teachers get settled. Pray for Amy who has taken a new role as “Teacher Care Coordinator” at HOPAC this year.

Ministry in Latin America

Pray for God’s support and wisdom as Jim and Melanie, ReachGlobal personnel, serve in Latin America. Pray for safe travels, good health, and strength as Jim trains pastors in Nicaragua and Panama this month. Ask God to give them fluency and understanding of the Spanish language and more opportunities to share the gospel with their tutor.

Ministry in Haiti

Pray for Ashlee, ReachGlobal personnel in Haiti, who serves in the long-term re-development of Haiti through the ministry of the local churches. Her focus is on developing relationships with the various schools in the area, developing teachers to integrate God’s view on education and child development. Pray for Ashlee as she seeks God-ordained appointments and connections.

Basketball camp in Belgium

Pray for the SportQuest basketball camp August 1-5, in Ghent, Belgium that Duane, ReachGlobal personnel, is involved in. Pray for God’s victory in young lives and His glory to shine during this event. Pray for Jonasdi, a young man from Duane and Penny’s church, as he helps lead the basketball camp.

Training for evangelism ministry

Pray for wisdom for Ernie and Linda, members of the EFCA EQUIP Team, as they train a team of six young adults who are preparing for ministry in evangelism in Cyprus for one year among a hard-to-reach people group on a college campus. The team is going through online training designed by the EQUIP staff and on August 1-2, Ernie and Linda will conduct two days of intensive face-to-face training prior to the team’s departure.

Teams working together

Pray for the team of youth and adults from Calvary Church in Missouri who are working with the Rajska Zahrada church plant team in Czech Republic to minister to youth in an English camp July 30-August 6. Pray that God will move in the hearts of those teens who have not fully committed their lives to Jesus and for those who have yet to hear of God’s love for them. Ask God to surprise the campers with His goodness and presence during this camp.

Pastoral Worshop in San Jose

Pray that God will use Keith, ReachGlobal personnel with Latin America Training Network (LATN), as a channel of His grace as he teaches a workshop on Leading in Turbulent Times: Lessons from Nehemiah to a group of pastors in San Jose on July 30. Pray that the workshop will encourage the Latin American pastors and missionaries to stay strong, firm and steadfast during difficult times.

Training nurses in CAR

Pray for God’s blessing on Tim and Ann, ReachGlobal personnel serving in the Central African Republic. Pray for them as they train 21 young people at the nursing school. Pray for stamina for Dr. Tim as he teaches four different classes on Tuesdays and Fridays, as well as seeing to patients. Pray for Ann who is teaching Bible and French along with various sewing projects. Ask God to give her clarity and guidance as she revises the song book for the French church service.

Moving to a new city

Pray for Scott, Janice, Jonathan and Olivia, ReachGlobal personnel in Belgium, preparing to move to another city. Pray for God’s blessing as they transition to a new area, adjust to new schools and minister with love and care in their neighborhood. Pray for courage and boldness as they introduce themselves to others and establish new friendships.

VBS in Japan

Pray for Bob and Joan, ReachGlobal personnel in Japan, as they prepare for the one-day summer vacation Bible school July 28, for children through 2nd grade. Pray with Bob and Joan that there will be at least 15 families participate. Pray that they would come with open hearts as they hear the gospel and that solid relationships will be established.

Potential Travel Problem

Pray for Kevin, ReachGlobal Africa International Leader, who just learned that his passport (sent in several weeks ago to get visas for a trip to Africa) is still in the Cameroonian embassy in Washington, DC. Kevin is scheduled to leave July 31, to visit ReachGlobal staff in Cameroon and Central African Republic. Pray that God would work to get Kevin’s passport released with the visa to him in time to travel on July 31.

Start of new ministry in Cameroon

Pray for Phil and Suzanne, ReachGlobal personnel who transitioned from working with EFCA TouchGlobal to teach at the Rain Forest International School in Cameroon. Pray for their orientation to a new life and culture in Cameroon. Pray that God would guard and guide their ministries as they use their skills and experiences in His kingdom work.

BCA in Romania

Praise that Bucharest Christian Academy (BCA) has received authorization to build and the school has moved into its interim building. Pray for wisdom for Jen, ReachGlobal personnel and director of BCA, as she leads in the midst of this transition, and for the myriad of decisions that go with moving, building, and staffing a school. Pray for God’s provision of an elementary music teacher and a part-time English teacher.

Ministry team in Honduras

Pray for Rebecca, ReachGlobal personnel with the Latin America division, who is part of the Women without Borders ministry team. This team is in Honduras July 21-25, to formalize a partnership with the EFC of Honduras and minister and equip the women in the church. Pray for sensitivity to the Spirit through each conversation and the teaching of His Word. Ask that the women would be encouraged and better equipped in their roles to serve the Lord and that He would be glorified through their lives and this ministry.

English Camps in Czech

Pray for Ritch, Susan, and their family, ReachGlobal personnel in Czech Republic, as they ministers in Family English Camp this week. Pray for the 30 adults and 19 children as they study English, enjoy free time together, and participate in programs that address key questions of relationships and family life. Pray for spontaneous conversations which God could use to introduce Himself, His love and grace. Ask God to transform the lives of the families who have yet to know Jesus as Savior. Pray for the individuals from the Rajska Zahrada church plant to be guided by the Spirit’s sensitivity and have boldness to share their lives and the gospel with these families.

Asia area conference

Pray for the Asia area conference for ReachGlobal Asia personnel and ReachGlobal leadership in Thailand this week. Sunday, the 17th was a day of prayer and fasting as participants sought God’s face before launching into a full schedule of meetings and workshops. Pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit during the times of worship in the Word, in prayer and in song, and in training and team development. Pray for God’s protection in good physical health and the Spirit of God to speak through His Word directly into the hearts of all the missionaries and staff.

Vocational training in Thailand

Pray for David and Gloria, ReachGlobal personnel in Thailand, as they seek partnerships with individuals and churches enabling training and equipping of the students at the vocational center. Pray for God's direction and a good process as they expand vocational training on campus with agriculture projects, soap making, and handicrafts. Ask the Lord to bless the 22 new students, committed and expecting the Lord to mold and train them for effective service. Pray, also, for staff health, wisdom, and unity. Pray for God's provision of financial needs for the school this year.

Asia area conference

Pray for the Asia Directional Leadership Team meetings July 14-16, prior to the ReachGlobal Asia Conference in Thailand July 17-22. Pray that the Lord would guide this time of training, conversations and refreshment. Ask God for a sense of unity and joining together around Christ and the mission He has given us.

Women's ministry in the Philippines

Pray for wisdom and discernment for Arlys, ReachGlobal personnel in the Philippines, as she disciples pastors’ wives and students at ETCP (Evangelical Theological College of the Philippines). Ask the Lord to give her clear understanding to know how to minister to the women who are all at different levels in their spiritual growth. Pray for guidance in scheduling the students to meet with them one-on-one between their classes.

Strategic meetings in Mexico

Pray for Enrique, ReachGlobal personnel with the Latin America Training Network (LATN), who is in Mexico to sign an important partnership with a well-known university. The university has started a Bachelor degree in theology, and Enrique will explore helping them with training on distance education and to work with them on a project by which LATN helps them to create their own master program. Please pray for wisdom as these conversations are currently in progress. Pray for God’s will to be clear as their goal is to sign the partnership at 11:00 a.m., Mexico time. May this bring glory to the Lord and be used by Him in the expansion of the Kingdom.
