Ministry in Mexico City

Pray for Joshua and Naomi, ReachGlobal personnel, departing today for Mexico City where they and their three children will begin their church planting ministry. Pray for gracious, humble hearts as they adjust to a new country and their ministry partners. Ask God for guidance and wisdom for the right location to find a home. Pray that they will have a growing love for Jesus, and for those who need Him.

Ministry in Lyon

Pray for Jonah and Amy, ReachGlobal personnel in Lyon, France, as they equip and challenge the local believers in the French church plant in outreach evangelism. Pray for God’s grace to open many opportunities to share the gospel. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s work on receptive hearts. Also, pray for the apologetics class at the church and for several non-believers who have been attending and asking good questions about the faith.

July Debriefing

Pray for the ENHANCE team is facilitating the Debriefing event for ReachGlobal personnel at the EFCA national office July 7-8. This event gives our personnel the opportunity to share their field experience, work through unmet expectations and disappointments, receive resources and encouragement. It also gives them an opportunity to get practical help from various national office staff. Pray for the ENHANCE team as they listen, encourage and minister to our missionaries.

ENHANCE Team Meetings

Pray for the ENHANCE (member care and development) team meetings in Minneapolis July 5-6 and 9. Member care for ReachGlobal personnel consists of consoling: giving empathy and understanding when people hurt; consulting: giving information, resources and advice when people need perspective; and challenging: giving encouragement and “prods” when people are stuck. Pray that God will instruct, guide and refresh the team members as they focus on encouraging and equipping our personnel.

Online learning

Pray for Linda, ReachGlobal personnel with EFCA CONNECT, as she begins facilitating a six-week online course, Kingdom Expansion 101, July 6. Pray that God will bring together the right blend of learners and that it will be a valuable experience for them as they study basic missions. Pray for Linda as she develops new modules for the live training curriculum for short-termers preparing to minister cross-culturally.

Church planting training in Africa

Pray for wisdom and clear communication for Pastor Selenga and Pastor Kiamu who are conducting a Multiplication Church Planting training workshop in Kinshasa, DR Congo this week.  Leaders from Congo as well as key representatives from Togo and Ivory Coast are participating in this training. Pray effective learning and that God will use this to launch a church planting movement in these areas.

Coaching Clinic

Pray for those who are taking the Coaching Clinic to understand how to use it to develop, empower and release other workers. Pray for our participants preparing for ministry in Africa and Latin America. Pray for David and Mark, ReachGlobal personnel with EQUIP, who are leading application groups, facilitating discussions and conducting a final debriefing. Pray for participants as they reflect on what God wants them to do about the principles learned. Pray for encouragement and joy.
