Young adult retreat in Montreal

Pray for Jay, ReachGlobal personnel in Montreal, who will be teaching four times at a young adult retreat Labor Day weekend. Pray for his wife, Kathy as she ministers on the worship team. Pray for the 50 participants attending that God would speak to them through the messages and the two workshops that deal with apologetics and creating a strong base for faith in Christ. Pray for Jay as he prepares and for the Holy Spirit to be working in the hearts of the young people who will attend.

Church Planting in Czech

Pray that God’s Spirit would bring the people that He desires to the workshops at the Church Planting Conference in the Czech Republic June 9-11. Ritch, ReachGlobal personnel in Czech, his Czech partners and ReachGlobal Church Planting Coaches Gene and Mike will be teaching, leading discussions, and making plans for implementing the essential “DNA” that is necessary for new churches to incorporate into the life of their community to help them grow and accomplish what Jesus has asked of them. 

TESOL Convention

Pray for Linda, ReachGlobal member of the CONNECT team, who is in New Orleans March 16-19, to attend the annual TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Convention. Pray that God will lead her to good connections there and that He will guide her in choosing workshops that will be most beneficial in ministry. Connections and workshops from past conventions have proven to be very valuable. Pray for the training curriculum currently under development for short-term missionaries who go to serve cross-culturally for up to a year. Linda leads the task force working on this project. It is now in the editing and refining stage, with plans to begin the beta test for the online portion March 21.

Missions Pastor Network

Pray that the CONNECT Team will engage effectively with many churches this year. Ask God for 25 churches in 2011 to use the missions strategy workshop (resource tool to become more intentional in developing an outreach/missions ministry) with our facilitators. Pray for Craig, ReachGlobal Mission Network Director, who is leading the EFCA Missions Pastors Network event January 10-12, in Charlotte, NC, and is also facilitating two missions strategy workshops this month.
