Accident in Bosnia
Pray for Tom, ReachGlobal personnel in Sarajevo, Bosnia, was injured in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, October 5. Tom was traveling to Tuzla to initiate students at the American University to a course that he teaches via video link. On a curve in the mountains, a car from the other direction crossed the white line and forced Tom into a guardrail. The other car did not stop and fled the scene. God provided immediate assistance with a passerby who Tom already knew. Tom has a fractured bone in his leg and a seriously damaged ankle. Today, Tom was evacuated to Paris for surgery on Sunday. Please pray for skilful hands of the medical team, for protection from infection and complications, for rapid and complete recovery through the long physical therapy phase of recuperation.

Surgery today
Pray for one of ReachGlobal’s personnel in Europe, who is having abdominal surgery today. She and her family are currently in the U.S. where the doctors discovered in a Cat-scan that she has a lump on her abdominal wall and two hernias. Ask God to give the doctors wisdom and the ability to make correct decisions during the surgery and follow up treatment. Pray for God’s hand of healing and peace for her. May His name be glorified through her faith and witness.

Health concern
Pray for one of ReachGlobal’s personnel in Europe, who has been having abdomen pain for more than a month. She and her family are currently in the U.S. so she was able to see a doctor and get a CAT-scan. The results of the CAT-scan showed that she has an abdominal hernia, (tear in her muscle wall) that needs to be surgically repaired and also has a cyst on her liver. They are meeting with the surgeon today so please pray for their appointment that God would give them peace and clear guidance. The recovery period from this surgery is six weeks, so the family needs wisdom as they figure out the next steps for returning to the field that was planned for November.
